ESCONDIDO will head back to B-ham for an all day event at Sloss Furnaces National Historic Landmark on Saturday, April 12. All proceeds benefit The Red Barn Foundation’s therapeutic and educational programs for children with disabilities and special circumstances.

Doors open at 2pm, seating is general admission. Tickets are $15 (advance) and $20 (day of show), buy them here.

ESCONDIDO Perform At Madeira Film Festival 2014

ESCONDIDO will perform at this year’s Madeira Film Festival in Madeira, Portugal. The festival, which runs from April 21 to April 27, will take place at Reid’s Palace and Municipal Theatre.

Escondido’s Jessica Maros and Tyler James will perform as a duo on Thursday, April 24 at 9pm, prior to the fashion show, “Peppermint Green”, the 2014 Laurissilva Spring/Summer Collection from Portuguese designer Patricia Pinto.

Concert/Fashion Show tickets are 20 Euros.

ESCONDIDO Play Madison, Chicago

Two new Midwest shows have been added to Escondido’s touring schedule. Madison’s FRZN Fest is on Friday, January 17 and a Chicago Bluegrass and Blues program show supporting Greensky Bluegrass has been added at Chicago’s Concord Music Hall on Saturday, January 18.

American Laundromat Records has announced the release of I Saved Latin!, the double-CD tribute to Wes Anderson coming in spring 2014. The project features Escondido, Black Francis, Kristin Hersh, Mike Watt and others covering songs from six of Anderson’s films including Bottle Rocket, Rushmore, Royal Tenenbaums, Life Aquatic, Darjeeling Limited, and Fantastic Mr. Fox.

Hosted by Electric Western Records, Holiday Special will feature the talents of the label’s act Steelism as the evening’s house band backing up the likes of EW friends Escondido and Ricky Young and Joel King of The Wild Feathers, and EW artists including Andrew Combs, Los Colognes, Derek Hoke.
